How to add or remove stars

If you find a Flipnote that you like on Flipnote Hatena you can add a star to the Flipnote to let the creator know you like it, and adding a star will also add the Flipnote to your favorites list in your Creator's Room. Flipnotes that receive stars from many users will be listed in the Popular Flipnotes section on the main page of the Flipnote Hatena website.

Add Star

1. Login to Hatena (if you don't already have a Hatena ID please visit the Register for a Hatena ID section).
2. Find a Flipnote that you like on the website
3. On the right side of the Flipnote next to the star icon click the button
4. A star will be added to the Flipnote. You can add as many stars as you like to a Flipnote.

Erase Star

1. Move your mouse pointer above a star that you have entered and wait for 5 seconds
2. When the “Would you like to erase this star” message appears click OK.
3. The star will be erased

Star ratings are used in the same way for all Hatena services. For more detailed information about the use of stars please see the Hatena Star Help section.

How to add or remove comments

You can add comments to Flipnotes that you watch on Flipnote Hatena. You can view the 10 latest comments on Flipnote Hatena on the Nintendo DSi. If you want to view all of the comments on a Flipnote, please visit the Flipnote Hatena website.

How to add a comment

1. Login to Hatena (if you don't already have a Hatena ID please visit the Register for a Hatena ID section).
2. Open a Flipnote's page
3. Type your comment in the area below the Flipnote and click on the Post Comment button
4. Your comment will be posted

How to delete comments

1. To delete comments you have posted click on the button to the right of the comment
2. Your comment will be erased

* You cannot erase comments other than your own.

Add stars to comments

You can add a star to individual comments on every Flipnote's page. If you find a comment that you like, or if you want to thank someone for commenting on your Flipnote you can add a star to their comments.

If you want to add a star to a comment make sure you are logged in with your Hatena ID and then open any Flipnote page and click on the button. For information about erasing stars please see the How to add or remove stars section.

The Favorites function

The Favorites function is used to add your favorite Flipnote Hatena creators to the New Flipnotes from Favorites section of your Creator's Room.

In addition, if you add a Flipnote Hatena creator to your Favorites you will be listed as a Fan on that creator's page.

Add To Favorites

1. Login to Hatena (if you don't already have a Hatena ID please visit the Register for a Hatena ID section).
2. Access Your Favorites Page
3. Click on Add to Favorites found on the left side of the screen under the creator's name.
4. The creator's most recently posted Flipnotes will be displayed, and the creator's name will be added to your Favorite Creators list on the right side of the page.

How to remove a creator from your Favorites

1. Open the page of the creator that you wish to remove from your favorites
2. Click on Remove from Favorites on the left side of the screen under the creator's name.
