I'm sure somebody out there will work out how to open ppm files. I'm fairly close myself, and there are tons of wikis about it.
I'd rather do it the 'official way', it isn't really for me, I'm thinking about a lot of those people WHO can't/won't animate in other programs than flipnote studio.

Is there any chance of hatena releasign the ppm to flv conversion program to the general public, so we can convert our flipnotes on our own computers? Just wondering... It would make a lot of people happy.

Find your flipnote friends on youtube, subscribe to each other, use the other social networks. Go out and look at what other flipnote creators are doing, get involved.

I agree with the comments regarding this site closing, it really is sad. It's been a great three years.
Business is business though, and it seems like the time has come to move on, create a new longer lasting community outside of hatena. Youtube seems like a good bet, a lot of flipnoters have moved their stuff there, a fair few creators are making their own sites and blogs too. The Youtube way will also give a broader audience and a bigger community. Flipnote animators can meet up with pc animators, flipnote 3d creators and other film makers.
I know the closure of hatena is sad, but a lot of people (myself included) are trying to create a new community beyond hatena. Check them out, check out their efforts and maybe be thankful to hatena for giving us the flipnote hatena site, for giving us the possibility of creating, sharing and socialising. I've met many great people here, I'll stil know them when hatena turns the key. We can recreate this community elsewhere.
