and now for the history of Mil Moscow Mil Helicopters (Russian: Миль) is the short name of the Soviet Russian helicopter producer Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant (Russian: Московский вертолётный завод им. М.Л. Миля) (design bureau prefix Mi), named after the constructor Mikhail Mil. Mil participates in the Euromil joint venture with Eurocopter.
Mil merged with Kamov and Rostvertol to form Oboronprom Corp in 2006. The Mil brand name has been retained, though the new company dropped overlapping product lines. Mil Moscow is a helicopter plant. they made the largest and most powerful helicopter ever to have gone into production. the Mil 26 halo!
